I learnt a lot of interesting stuff in this course. Like what open source software is, how to use thing like Audacity along with lots of fun games! . The things I liked about this course were the games and audacity but I couldn't get gimp to work. Now that I know what open source software is I can download it at home too.

MATTHEWS COMMENT

In this course I learnt how too manipulate music by using Audacity. Its really easy to learn how to use it but when you get really good you can figure out how to change the speed and cut and paste other parts of songs into one certain song.

One of the other programs is called the Gimp. The Gimp allows you to change photos by turning them into cats and cutting out the heads of other photos pasting them on a certain photo.

This was a photo of Orlando Bloom but it had been changed into a cat by mason. How is the best at gimp in the in tire class.

To every body I really enjoyed my time here with you guys and I made some friends. Like Kaitlin and we made SOME friends with the guys.

Anyway I really liked this course because we got to play lots of fun games and go on cool Open Source Software like, Open Office, Audacity and The Gimp.

The Open Source Software I liked the most was Audacity. I loved it the most because you can change songs and create your own music. I modified a song but I can't remember which one but I do know that it was great.

I wish the course would have never ended because it was so good !!

I had a great time at Cool Internet Freebies!

I made lots and lots of friends.

Cool Internet Freebies is an awesome course do to. You get to go on the computer all the time and make awesome things like certificates, and you have a vote at the end for who's certificate we are going to use. We do other kool stuff like work on Open Office, The Gimp and my personal favourite (even though I didn't get to do it) was Audacity. On Audacity you get to0 listen to music and change it to how you like.

I was very happy of what course I chose because I learnt a lot of stuff about the computer and I made an awesome friend, Jazzy. Jazz and I were the only girls at the course, but we both made friends with the guys, except one, Mason. Nah, we are good friends.

I didn't wont the course to end because I had so much fun

Nicks ramblings.

I think that the peac course Cool Internet Freebies has been great. I really liked using The Gimp and Audacity. I also liked making the blogs. I have learned new skills in photo editing, sounds, blogging and downloading and I thank Mrs Winton for teaching me these things. I hope I can do more courses with her.

I think this course is the best course ever even though it is my first course it was really fun because I learnt how to make my own blog and also you learn how to use Gimp,Audacity and Scratch where you can make your own animations and games. I think next time cool internet freebies will be more fun if they taught you how to make your own websites and they teach you what open source software it's a great course so if you get into peac you should go for Cool Internet Freebies.Those are my thoughts.

This is one the best courses I have ever done. Doing this course makes me think that PEAC is really cool.

I have learnt a lot in this course like open source software and for those people who don't know what open source software is, open source software is a software that you can download of the internet for free and the creater will give you a code, the code lets you change the game but to do that you might have to be a good programmer. I also have learnt how to use Audacity and the Gimp. I like everthing about this course to.

I think Cool Internet freebies is one of the best courses i have done so far. I enjoyed playing around on open source programs like Gimp and Audacity. I also like playing games like Asteroids and Wormux. I made friends with most of the people in the course. Open source software is basically software which gives you a code allowing you to change it. Jarryd's Thoughts

1. The things i liked best about this course where The GIMP because it's resonably easy to use and it is so much fun and Audacity because it lets you change and modify sound files.
2. Some of the other things I liked about the course where being able to create a blog, using games like Asteroids, Super Tux and Tux racer and I also liked it when we did assignment 3 because it was fun creating things.
3. I guess that setting up the email address was pretty fun because you get to send other people messages and I like doing that at home on MSN.

In this course we have been learning about "free" software on the Internet. We have also been learning about open source software. Here is an explanation. Open source software is a software that you can download for free. It has to give you the code to allow you to change it. We have also been playing with sound. We used the program Audacity to change songs. I changed I'm A Believer and Stuck In The Middle With You. During the course we had three different assignments that were very challenging. We had to write one about open source software. Another was one on the GIMP and the lucky last assignment was to create a certificate. I think this course was a very good course.

Nathans thoughts

I learnt some new skills including: how to make blogs, make sound files, edit pictures on gimp and alot more things on copyright. I loved playing with the games such as super tux( the best game) asteroids you know the game where you fly around in a space ship blowing up rocks, tux racer the game where you can do really high jumps and have to collect salmon and space invaders one of the very first video games. I used alot of software that i've never used before or even heard of like audacity a sound creating piece of software, the gimp a picture editing file and blogs what we're on now a place where you can make friends and express yourself. I liked the whole course I don't find any flaws in this course because day there is a new thing to learn.

Hi I'm Michael and I have just finished the cool Internet freebies PEAC course. Cool Internet freebies is a great course that offers allot of knowledge into open source software. Open source software is software that you receive the code for when you download it, the code is how the software was made, if you're good enough you can change it. During the course I learned about a program called the gimp. It is a program that is a picture editor. You can change, for better or worse, the picture. Another program we focused on is audacity. Audacity is a program that you can modify sound tracks, we had a few mission impossible theme songs to 'mission what the.'

I really liked how the whole course was based on open source software, open source: games, music modifiers, picture modifiers and much more.

This course is great for computer geniuses in the making, so go for it!

David's thoughts

This is one of the best PEAC courses I have EVER done! Peac is really great. It is hardly describable as "education" from my point of view, but I had a lot of fun, and I think everyone else did too.

Possibly one of the best bits about this course is the way downloading games is considered WORK! Haha! I learnt a lot during this course. For example, I used to think Audacity was for playing sound, but it can edit it too! I learnt how to photo and sound edit, and I had a lot of fun playing games like HoverRace. (Which I found all by myself at www.hoverrace.com)

Unfortunately, we didn't have much time to learn these things, and the course ended a little too soon in my opinion. I wish we had found some open source movie editing software.

Good thing is, at the end of the course, we get a free CD of the software we used here.

I really liked this course, all aspects of it, and it's a shame it didn't last longer.
